Welcome to Blissful Moments Holistic Therapies.

My name is Lynda Bliss, I opened my business in July 2015 after training to become a Complementary Therapist at Mid Cheshire College in Hartford. At college, I studied Massage, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy. Being on the course was life-changing; learning new skills that I knew would benefit people was humbling and incredibly satisfying. I met some wonderfully like-minded people from whom I gained the confidence and self belief to continue on the exciting path that I’d chosen, to become a Complementary Therapist.

After qualifying, I spent some time volunteering at St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford. Working alongside experienced and inspirational Complementary Therapists gave me the opportunity to continue learning and developing my skills whilst witnessing firsthand the benefits that therapies can bring.

I also started working for a Crewe-based charity, Motherwell, who offered wellbeing days to the local community. During these wellbeing events, I worked alongside experienced therapists allowing me to further advance my skills and confidence in my abilities. It was here that I met my future Reiki master. I had watched her giving Reiki to clients and became fascinated by this spiritual energy therapy. Eventually, I asked her to give me Reiki and found the experience enlightening and calming. I studied Reiki I and Reiki II with her and have been using it in my practice ever since.

At a local charity event, I met some of the staff who ran a shelter for homeless women in Winsford. I was thrilled when they asked me to assist them with the setup of their on-site therapy room. For several years I gave regular therapy days to the staff and residents who very much deserved some pampering. Any time spent at the shelter brought me so much pleasure. The charity was run by the most inspirational and awesome people and I loved being around them, it was very uplifting. Working with the residents was a tremendously rewarding experience and I always looked forward to my next visit. Sadly, this facility has now closed because Weaver Vale Housing Trust could no longer provide financial support.

One of the best things about being a Complementary Therapist is that you never stop learning new skills. There are so many different therapies and over the years, I have added these to my list: Lava Shell Massage, Indian Head Massage, Holistic Facials, Thai Foot Massage, Ear Candling, Pregnancy Massage, Reiki, Facial Reflexology, Candle Making, and First Aid. I am always thinking about what course I would like to do next!

I love my job and have never regretted my decision to retrain at the age of 51 to ensure that the rest of my working life was spent doing something that I loved, was worthwhile and rewarding. I enjoy working on a one-to-one basis and love meeting new people. I have clients who have been coming to me ever since I opened my business and they have now become good friends. I get to see firsthand the positive effect therapies can bring and I love to hear that someone has enjoyed the treatment and can’t wait until their next one!

I approach my business in an holistic way, and try to bring my love of nature into my therapies by choosing essential oils that resonate with the seasons. I draw energy from the nature that exists around me for my Reiki sessions.

My therapy room is downstairs at my home in Hartford. I have carefully planned how to make my massage couch as comfortable as possible and strive to ensure that my clients are warm and cosy. There is usually a burner releasing the scents of essential oils into the room mingling with the smell of my homemade soy wax candles that are available to buy. You can read all about the items that I make on my Products Page. I donate some of the proceeds of my product sales to two local charities; St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford and Duster’s Ark, an animal shelter in Hartford.

Please visit my Treatments Page and choose the perfect therapy for you. I can’t wait to welcome you and offer you some rest and relaxation.

See you soon, Lynda.

I am listed on the FHT Complementary Healthcare Therapist Register, which has been approved by the Professional Standards Authority, under its Accredited Registers programme
